Badaling is a Great Wall section in Yanqing district. Right at the foot of the wall stands the renewed China Great Wall Museum. Two other sights, the Ming Tombs and Juyongguan, lie in Changping district and have their own tickets and rules. Do not assume that everything is within walking distance.

The renewed museum stands at the foot of the Badaling wall and covers the history, military use, architecture, economy and culture of the Great Wall. It has reopened after renovation. Check the current entry price, hours and any reservation rule before you go.
Ming Tombs
Changling, Dingling, Zhaoling and the Sacred Way are open as usual. The 2026 prices are CNY 40 for Dingling, CNY 30 for Changling and CNY 20 for the Sacred Way. High-season tariffs are higher, for example CNY 60 for Dingling. Visitors from 60 years enter free. Further tombs, including Kangling, Yongling, Siling and Jingling, need advance booking. Jingling opened on 22 December 2025 and requires an assigned guide.

The pass is a separate sight lower in the same valley, with a Yuan-period stone platform and restored wall. Adults pay CNY 35 in 2026.

Chadao, Shifosi and Shixia are villages in the Badaling area with classified rural guesthouses. They suit travelers who want an early start at the wall, but do not assume a short walk from every house to the gate.
Where to stay →Yanqing beyond the wall
Badaling belongs to Yanqing district, and the district has more to see than the wall. Its old town of Yongning and the flower decoration from the 2019 Expo are worth a stop. Check current access for any other Yanqing attraction before you plan around it.
The wall, the forest park and the wildlife park are separate offers with separate rules. Do not apply the rules of one to another.
